Hello May
Over the last months, I’ve been more intentional about what and when I eat because how we nourish ourselves matters. And nourishment comes in many different forms; it doesn’t only refer to food. It applies to what we watch, what we read, and what we listen to, as well. While I have written often about the relationship between physical yoga poses and the mind, we cannot forget that everything we take in shapes both our mental and physical well-being.
This Sunday, May 3rd, I’m offering a teen yoga class at Yoga Horizons studio in Ravenswood designed to support and uplift young people. Just like spring rain helps the trees around Chicago to flourish, young participants will motivate their mind, move their body, and calm their breathing. With finals approaching and summer on the horizon, emotions start running high. Together, we’ll practice yogic methods of mindfulness to better regulate those emotions. All 13–18 year-olds are welcome.
For those of you who can’t attend, what is helping you to grow, at whatever age you are?
